Quantum
Program at the SOCC
The Quantum Program is an integral part of the Seymour Osman Community Center and Youth Safe Haven (SOCC). Quantum, beginning during the middle of eighth grade and continuing year round until graduation, is a comprehensive and proven youth intervention program that provides academic support, mentoring, career/post-secondary education planning, skill development and service learning opportunities to select high school students.
To encourage participation, an incentive (monthly stipend) is offered to youth who participate in required activities on a weekly basis. (Students must commit to attend the program at least twice weekly.) In addition, upon graduating from high school, youth who have fulfilled the program's requirements will be awarded scholarships to be applied toward post-secondary education or living expenses.
It is our commitment to provide students with quality programming, to advance education and to encourage a healthy and successful adulthood.
The program operates Monday through Friday from 2:45 - 6:00 PM. For information, contact Mimi Bergere at 749-6692.
