Seymour Osman Community Center
Located in the heart of the Mineral and Whittier Park community, the Seymour Osman Community Center (SOCC) serves as a haven for the neighborhood's children. Equipped with a gymnasium, four classrooms and a kitchen, the center flourishes with youth-oriented activities.
It has also become a primary source of crime prevention in the area through partnerships with the Dover Police Department.
With the support of a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant, the SOCC has extended its outreach to Woodman Park School, where it operates daily afterschool programs similar to those offered at the community center.
